In my point of view, Where's My Water? must be the best app games designed by Disney.
I am really tired of physics puzzlers and I figured Disney is aiming at a different audience, but the comments here and the reviews in the App Store swayed me. I am glad I tried it because it is quite good. Even the style of the app is charming. A fantastic app with polish and a ton of content at a really low price!
Here is my hands-on review.
- Lovely and living alligator role design and Perfect water flow
- Challenging level design, creative puzzling twist
- The angle trend of digging move a pixel too far when you're after precision
Storyline:
The cute alligator - named 'Swampy' need to have a bath with the Rubber duck. But the water is far from his bathroom, so they need our help to digg an appropriate channel to import the water to its bathroom. Let's begin.
Gameplay and Basic Guide & Tips
The operation of the game is very simple, waht you need to do is to digg an channel in the soil with your fingers, will lead water to the a small crocodile Swampy's bathtub. In this process, you also need to collect 3 rubber ducks scattered in sewers as much as possible. ( Note that if the duck get the water, they will become golden duck ~)
In fact, the key of this game walkthrough is to control the right time of the rational allocation of water diversion. Rubber ducks will be scattered in different places, but in the end, players need to ensure there is enough pure water( fill Swampy bath ) to be lead into the pipe.
In addition, the game is full of a wealth of interesting elements. For example:
- Plants grown in the sewer will rapid growth if they get pure water, then they will most likely block the flow path!
- The sewage is everywhere, be sure not let them flow into the Swampy bathtub!
- You need the right amount of water to open the valve switch.
- There will be acids which can dissolve everything
But you also note that: The pure water can be polluted if get mixed with the sewage water; but the sufficient sewage water may be required to corrupt four plants.
Overall
The game's detail is quite excellent, whether it is the variety of modality of the 'Swampy', or the sewer environment!
Perfect water design: The water can tend to seem a bit more like a cloud of vapour than a liquid, but that's a minor niggle as it doesn't hinder the gameplay, and the game as a whole shines well. I'd recommend picking this one up.
Sound is also quite good, whether the echos of Swampy tapping water, or the flow of fluid sound.
In a word, liquids, obstacles, collectibles, unlockable levels, a story, graphics are awesome. Its really good.
