Alien Revenge is one of three new casual titles released by Maestro Interactive Games, a independent developer focusing on creating innovative, engaging and acoustically driven titles. While the main focus is on bringing more hard-core gamers to the iOS. The studio has developed casual games to enter the market with while they work on their main title Into Darkness.

Alien Revenge is a top down vertical shooter with multiple waves of enemies including a secret boss battle. Players can unlock achievements and upload their scores to the LeaderBoard via GameCenter.

The trio of games follows a centric character of the Alien in his journey through various casual "game" like challenges. If anything sets this game apart from other arcade style shooters, it is the visually appealing style. The enemy ships are very impressive artistically and when put against the main characters tiny spaceship, they can sometimes seem overwhelming, causing the player to feel that much more empowered when they defeat them.

Being that it is a shooter, Alien Revenge is quite difficult, with enemies that swarm around you that can catch you off guard if you're not careful. Alien Revenge sticks to a more traditional view of shooter design, where you’re encouraged to shoot as much as you are to dodge.

Overall, if you're into games for the simple enjoyment you can get, or you try to master them, Alien Revenge is a great, easy to play title, that gives you unlimited chances to increase your score. It may not be a new take on a classic genre, but a classic is a classic for a reason, and Alien Revenge, not only looks good, and plays good, it also sounds good.
